I CHALLENGE YOU to write a 7-sentence short story
As I mentioned this in last week’s newsletter*, I’m taking a writing class just to bend my brain a little. One of my favorite assignments was to write a seven-sentence short story. The rules are simple:
You must write one sentence every day for one week.
The first sentence should feel like a beginning. The last sentence should feel like an ending.
My story isn’t earth-shattering or anything, BUT I will totally send it to you if you send me yours. My email is whitmath (at) gmail. There’s no deadline, but if you start today, you’ll have a complete story in a week! (I find it way more manageable than, say, National Novel Writing Month.)
